The Beautiful Killer

Proverbs asks if it is possible for a man to take fire into his bosom without being burned. The answer is a resounding no! Likewise, it is impossible for you to play around with lust without being burned by it.

Now, let me be quick to tell you that it is not a sin to look at a woman and admire her beauty. That's natural. However, when you repeatedly stare and begin to long to look at her more and more and imagine her undressed, you have crossed the line into what Jesus called adultery.

In Matthew 5:28, Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman [for the purpose] to lust for her has already committed adultery in his heart. It's one thing to look at a woman admiringly. It's another thing to look at a woman just to lust or passionately long for her.

Whenever we cross the line and enter into a lustful mode of thinking and looking, we are allowing destructive and sinful seeds germinate in our heart. Whenever we do that, we can be sure that death is imminent.

Galatians 6:8a (AMP) tells us, "He who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction."

Whenever you or I sow to our flesh -- the part of us driven by our five physical senses that responds to arousal, pornography, nudity, and things of the like -- we will reap decay, ruin, and destruction from our flesh.

This is clearly pointed out in Proverbs 5:3-12 (NLT):

The lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But the result is as bitter as poison, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave. For she does not care about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn't even realize where it leads.
So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say: Run from her! Don't go near the door of her house! If you do, you will lose your honor and hand over to merciless people everything you have achieved in life. Strangers will obtain your wealth, and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
Afterward you will groan in anguish when disease consumes your body, and you will say, "How I hated discipline! If only I had not demanded my own way!

Here is the KBB (Kevin B. Bullard) translation of the same verses:

Her lips are sweet and appear to have all manner of goodness. Her speech is smooth, and she's able to build me up, and make me feel like I'm da bomb-diggaty. But, in the end, she's just a cheap trick who's bitter (Psalm 27:7, 20).
She will pierce me through! Her steps/paths lead to hell. Lest I - or just in case I try to figure out what she will do next, I can't! Her ways are unstable, so I can't know them. This trick will cut me and make me bleed...she's dangerous! Her steps are in hell. There is nothing good about the "real" her.
So, I am to move far away from her, and not go near the door of her house or I'll give my honor to others, and my years to the devil. Folks I don't know will be filled with my wealth, and my money will go to another's house (child support & alimony payments). My body will be consumed under the pressures and diseases, and I'll cry out asking myself, "Why didn't you listen? You knew what was right, but now you're destroyed!"

A moment of pleasure is not worth the long-lasting and damaging effects.

At the time of this article being written, the porn industry of America is in "shock" over two well-known stars who have contracted the HIV virus through unprotected sex. Furthermore, over 45 actors who had sex with them or partners of theirs are being tested as well. Why is that? Because if you sow to the flesh, you will reap decay, destruction, and withering from the flesh (in this case, literal deterioration of the body from the HIV virus).

All I've written has been written to say this: Everything that jiggles and wiggles, shakes and rotates, drops and hops is not good. Just like the Wisteria, it has a dark side, and is fatal if consumed.

Men, don't make the deadly mistake of tampering with something more powerful than you are. Despite how invincible, strong, and 'prayed-up' you may feel; you cannot play with fire in the form of fleshly lust and its actions. You just can't do it. You may not burn the first time you play. You may even play twice without smelling like smoke. However, if you play with fire long enough, you will get burned.

Look out for Miss Wisteria. She's a Beautiful Killer.
